Working closely with the Director of Program Review & Assessment, the Project Manager leads the collegeâ??s curriculum processâ??from managing internal and state-level systems to maintaining the college catalog and ensuring accurate program data across multiple state agencies. This role also supports a range of projects across Academic Affairs, contributing to strategic planning, assessment, accreditation, and institutional research. Youâ??ll coordinate timelines, lead trainings, prepare reports, and serve as a central resource for faculty, staff, and administrators engaged in academic improvement efforts.

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates IWCCâ??s core mission, vision and values.
  • Coordinates and manages special projects within the department in the areas of strategic planning and governance, institutional research, accreditation, program review and evaluation, curriculum, and assessment.
  • Manages timelines of projects, daily workflow, schedules, to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manages the college and state curriculum management systems, overseeing all new courses and programs as well as modifications for approval. Maintains updates in curriculum system. Works collaboratively with Iowa Department of Education representative for all curriculum processes and decisions.
  • Routinely creates and administers training sessions for faculty, staff, and administration for the online curriculum system. Trains for updates.
  • Manages the college catalog. Responsible for all new curriculum and annual text updates in the online system.
  • Manages and updates program information with Iowa Workforce Development and Nebraska Department of Labor online data management systems. Coordinates with multiple academic departments and continuing education to ensure accuracy of data and information. Connects and collaborates frequently 

with IWD and NDOL administrators to ensure program approval processes and decisions.

  • Assists with annual curriculum updates on the SPOL site to ensure course, program, and outcome information is current and accurate for faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Manages Simple Syllabus updates and uploads, as well as the college syllabus library. 
  • Provides key support for the Director of Program Review & Assessment and others in the department as necessary in the areas of strategic planning and governance, institutional research, accreditation, program review and evaluation, curriculum, assessment, and instructional design.
  • Generates attendance reports to track attendance keeping by faculty and student attendance for various stakeholders within the college, such as High School Outreach, Student Services, and Athletics. 
  • Makes independent decisions in matters of significance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associateâ??s degree and 5 or more years of professional office experience. Bachelorâ??s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage time while responding in a timely manner to requests which requires flexibility and prioritization skills
  • High degree of initiative and follow-through in order to see projects to completion
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as a collaborative team member
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skill level and Outlook calendar management
  • Confidentiality to data and information is critical
  • Must have ability to pass a background check 

Physical Demands

Physical Demands of Essential Functions:

  • The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Ability to lift up to 10lbs
