ABOUT THE ROLE:

Evaluates and assesses clients. Prepares and implements treatment plans with clients. Provides therapeutic and supportive services to clients, including individual, group, and family counseling and case management. Prepares and presents education seminars to clients, their families, the general public and other service providers on chemical dependency and/or mental health. In residential programs, responsible for unit coverage and emergency telephone interventions. Counseling duties are generally office based, case management activities are generally community based.

LOCATION: 3010 GRAND AVE, WAUKEGAN, IL

HOURS: 37.5 HOURS A WEEK; MONDAY-FRIDAY (8:00AM-4:00PM)

FLSA STATUS: HOURLY

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Provides direct services to clients including organizing and facilitating individual and group treatment and activities, supervision of the milieu and case management and outreach.
  • Develops clients abilities to problem-solve interpersonal conflicts.
  • Facilitates with clients and collaborates with the treatment team to develop, review and update treatment goals and referrals both internally and externally.
  • Takes responsibility for training in and documenting clinical chart requirements to meet program and state standards.
  • Provides atmosphere of customer service in assuring that clients are treated in a friendly and respectful manner. Displays positive attitudes and behaviors in the accomplishment of job duties.
  • Focuses on client empowerment and evidence-based practices in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build on strengths in addressing treatment needs.
  • Provides education and direction to clients, family members and/or significant others.
  • Organizes and participates in treatment-related clinical conferences and staffings on assigned clients. Reports client progress, behavior problems or need for medication evaluation to program supervisors/physicians/psychiatrists regularly.
  • Must meet minimum productivity expectations.
  • May assist in the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Participates in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and seminars to facilitate professional growth and maintain licensure if required.
  • Responds to inquiries, gives appropriate information and referrals, and documents, if necessary.
  • Involved in quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis (such as implementing processes as a result of performance measurement reviews, participation in councils and teams, making suggestions to improve a process, designing curriculum for groups).
  • Conducts crisis intervention/evaluation/referral to persons who present themselves at the program.
  • Performs initial evaluations and assessments of potential clients regarding their appropriateness for participation in the program. Provides ongoing assessment of client's progress/growth.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or
  • Bachelor's in any field and two (2) years' experience, or
  • High School diploma or GED and five (5) years' experience

Required Skills Required Experience

Qualifications:

  • Answer all service calls in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and services to assigned audiovisual systems as needed. Complete customer PM Report upon completion of PM checks. Escalate any service level repairs to field service personnel or Onsite Service Technician.
  • Update service tickets in a timely manner upon completion of service calls.
  • Research parts, process Whitlock and manufacturer Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests, coordinate outside repairs, work with manufacturers, assist with phone support lines, provide technical support for sales, installation and system design staff, support Whitlock system designers and field service personnel, evaluate audiovisual system drawings, follow manufacturers' prescribed maintenance procedures and common industry practices to troubleshoot and resolve system problems.
  • Test and troubleshoot control system functionality (may include Crestron, AMX, broadcast automation control and other IP-based control systems).
  • Test and evaluate performance of video conference systems over ISDN (H.320) and IP (H.323) networks, including local camera and presentation source routing and control, and acoustic echo cancellation.
  • Maintain customers contracted support levels. This is achieved by proactively scheduling routine preventive maintenance visits and maintaining a strong working relationship with the customer based on trust and reliance.
  • Continuously seek to improve knowledge of integrated audiovisual and broadcast communications systems. This includes extensive on-the-job, manufacturer and on-line training; personal research and professional development. This includes becoming ICIA CTS certified within six (6) months of employment and pursuing additional ICIA certifications on your own.
  • May include after hours and on-call duties with guaranteed response times.
  • May require out-of-town travel and overnight visits at remote locations.
Other Skills and Training
  • Current familiarity with commercial audiovisual, videoconferencing and broadcast manufacturers of equipment, including some direct training such as Extron, Cisco, Polycom, Crestron, AMX, Barco, Christie, Biamp, NEC, Sharp, Sony, Middle Atlantic, Shure and others.
  • InfoComm CTS and CTS-D certifications preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, SharePoint, Skype for Business, etc.)
